Go and download this great “warmup” mix from Andrew Ross of Nacho Lovers for Old Gold Boutique. Says Andrew, “basically an early night club warm-up mix. start your night off right. none of that womp womp womp womp…not in my house.” Indeed!

The latest addition to the FG catalog is Laidback Luke and Lee Mortimer’s club detonator “Blau!” – grab it now on Beatport!
The release comes backed with remixes by our very own Nacho Lovers and LA Riots, as well as techmeister Noob and – with two different versions! – UK pal Doorly. These tunes have quickly become DJ favorites, but don’t take our word for it. Just ask Afrojack: “kicks donkeyboner!!!!”
If you’re a fan of good taste – and lets face it, you are reading this here blog – head over to Beatport and check the latest DJ charts from Nacho Lovers, Greenmoney and Malente for their current personal favorites and recommended jams. More charts from the FG fam coming soon…
We threw two parties in NYC to celebrate the label’s 2nd anniversary during this past CMJ fest – if you missed em, you missed out! Fortunately, we scoured the interweb to collect all the photo galleries, etc (hit us up if you have any more).
Check out Karmaloop’s great recap of Night #1 at 88 Palace above, which featured sets by Kingdom, Donnis (joined onstage by fellow ATLien Pill), Treasure Fingers, Sammy Bananas (who even rocked some Telephoned tracks with partner Maggie Horn), Trackademicks and the Honor Roll crew, and – a first for FG! – live band performances by Vega and The Suzan. Hi-Fi Cartel, Metromix, and The Culture Of Me got some pics, Billboard spoke to A-Trak for a video interview, and Beatcakes had a nice little blog post highlighting The Suzan (“probably one of the best shows I have seen in my life”).
For Night #2 we went with an all-DJ lineup at N8 in Brooklyn, featuring Jokers Of The Scene, LA Riots, Nacho Lovers and extended fam Udachi + Jubilee (Jamie from the xx was slated to play as well, but his band’s set ran late – we’ll get him in the mix soon enough!). You can check pics over at Driven By Boredom. Special thanks to Chicago’s own Thunder Horse for providing live projections / bugged visuals for both nights of festivities! See you for the 3-year bash soon…
Todays Canadian announcements continue! This Friday in Toronto you can catch both halves of Nacho Lovers rocking two amazing parties. Andrew will be playing his Acid City monthly at Wrongbar with Brandon Sek of the ace Curb Crawlers blog, while Scott is DJing alongside techno legend Kevin Saunderson at the Social for Night Trackin. Flyers for both after the jump! Read More
The calendar section coming up on our new website is gonna be crayjeeee, but until then the best place to keep up with tour dates for the whole Fool’s Gold family is our MySpace and Twitter, which we keep updated daily with the comings (ayo!) and goings of the FG fam. That said – we can’t neglect the regular ol’ blog neither!
Here’s a bunch of flyers for gigs coming up this weekend, including DJ Gant-Man and Jokers Of The Scene rocking separate parties in Chicago tonight (JOTS also hit SD on Saturday), LA Riots and Nick Catchdubs in NYC Friday along with Sammy Bananas with Switch in LA, Treasure Fingers in Vancouver and Andrew Ross of Nacho Lovers in Toronto that same night (he’s reunited with the other Nacho in Calgary Saturday), and of course the ‘Burger trio who stay hitting towns near you on the DAILY (including SF tonight with Trackademicks).
