This Saturday (10/8) come hit the Fool’s Gold booth at the Independent Label Market in Brooklyn, where we’ll be selling vinyl, CDs, tees, merch and more alongside our buds from DFA, 4AD, XL, Domino and many more.
“Will there be special goods and surprises” you ask? Why certainly. By popular demand, we pressed up a bunch of 12″s people have been asking us for: Congorock “Babylon” with remixes by Proxy and Riton, Treasure Fingers “Keep Up” with remixes by Kenny Dope and Jackson, and KLAM (aka rave legends Kicks Like A Mule) “Funky 4” with remixes by Hot City and the Martin Brothers. The one and only Party Supplies is going to stop by with his MPC. Keeping with the theme of label heads slanging their own wares, Nick Catchdubs will be manning the booth all day. And more…
To get you in the mood, check out this playlist of tracks from the participating labels. Cubic Zirconia is repping for FG with “Take Me High.”
Starting tonight, The Suzan will “come come” to Virginia, ATL and Chapel Hill for a trio of shows. Catch them at the Meridian Coffee House in Williamsburg, VA this evening, then tomorrow night at the Drunken Unicorn in Atlanta, and close the trip out with a gig at Local 506 in Chapel Hill. North Carolina, raise up! Full show info on their site.
It’s a bass sleepover in the desert when our crew hits the Ace Hotel in Palm Springs, California this weekend for a night and day of revelry. The “Fool’s Gold Weekend” at the Ace consists of a Friday night club jam and a Saturday afternoon pool party featuring back-to-back tunes from Nick Catchdubs, Nick Hook of Cubic Zirconia and Slow Roast upstart Codes. Check the site for all info, and use the rate code “FOOLS” for 10% off your room rate.
This Wednesday in LA, check the homie super team-up at French Connection, a party featuring Teki Latex, Gina Turner and Jillionaire alongside Fool’s Gold-ians Thee Mike B (Fifteenth) and Nick Hook (Cubic Zirconia). It’s only five smackeroos, be there!
Holleratchee! Craze and Yelawolf are no strangers to sharing a stage, whether it’s at Coachella or Day Off. But now they’re taking their scratch-n-rap show on the road, with the Hard White US tour (also featuring Yela’s homie Rittz) followed by a European trek opening for Wiz Khalifa. Check it when it hits a town near you, and peep the dates after the jump (and grab Craze’s new “Dance Alone” single while yer at it!) Read More
It seems like just yesterday we were stuffing a gang of sweaty fans into the store to watch DJ sets from A-Trak, Dave1 and Treasure Fingers for our “Tight Space” web series with G-Technology. Fortunately, it’s the internet, and all has been archived thanks to G-Tech’s recap videos. Watch the latest one with Treasure Fingers above, and A-Trak and Dave’s episodes after the jump, all featuring the Q&A stylings of Tight Space host Elliot Aronow.
We escaped Hurricane Irene a few weeks back to rock with our friends @Superfun and Hennessy for the “Great Chicago BBQ” behind RSVP Gallery. Some photo galleries from CY Magazine, Refinery 29 and A City In The Midwest are up as well.
