South Florida got a heavy dose of DAY OFF when we brought Joey Bada$$, A-Trak & Friends (including NORE, Mystikal and Orlando’s own Kaiydo) Hudson Mohawke and the fam to Revolution Live in Ft Lauderdale. Lil Yachty had to dip for BET Awards but the boss MadeinTYO popped up in his place to shut it down alongside Playboi Carti, Kirk Knight, Ape Drums, River Tiber, and FG’s own Nick Catchdubs, BOSCO & Speakerfoxxx and Damaged Goods. Brooklyn’s own Fool’s Gold Records takes their annual DAY OFF extravaganza cross country once again, closing out this year’s series of festival events with an all-day party on Sunday, September 25th at Shrine LA Outdoors.
Mac Miller headlines his first Los Angeles show of the year alongside G.O.O.D. Music president (and Clipse legend) Pusha T and FG’s own A-Trak, who’s hitting the decks with an “…and friends” guestlist that always amazes. DAY OFF LA will also feature upstart ATL phenom MADEINTYO, Fool’s Gold’s buzzy young R&B star Black Atlass, and the label’s resident DJ killers Madeaux, Kittens and Nick Catchdubs. And of course, you know it wouldn’t be a DAY OFF without a gang of surprises on deck…
This LA event caps a massive summer of DAY OFF shows for Fool’s Gold, including a New York event at the 34th St Helipad on 8/20 headlined by Migos and Juelz Santana, and a Miami blowout at Soho Studios on 9/17 with Joey Bada$$ and Hudson Mohawke topping a full day of performances from FG signees and some of the world’s most exciting new DJs and MCs. Advance tickets for all three DAY OFF events are available now at fgdayoff.com.

The DAY OFF MIA lineup is here and it’s innnnnnnsane! Our 2016 throwdown on Saturday, 9/17 is an all-ages event for the history books. Fool’s Gold’s BK neighbor and Pro Era general Joey Bada$$ headlines alongside A-Trak & Friends (will he top last year’s surprises of 2Chainz and Juvenile?) and Hudson Mohawke, fresh off supercharging Kanye West’s The Life Of Pablo and Boys Noize’s latest LP. Young ATL heroes Playboi Carti and Lil Yachty set fire to the rap rulebook, FG sparkplugs Ape Drums and BOSCO & Speakerfoxxx provide tropical vibes, and turntable vets Nick Catchdubs and Damaged Goods keep the party going all day long.
Get your Miami tix now at fgdayoff.com… we’ve got NY tickets and earlybird LA passes as well. (Stay tuned for that Los Angeles FGDO lineup announcement very soon!)
Ape Drums gave us party-starter “LFUTP” with Rizzoo Rizzoo and Lil Uzi Vert, and now dropped a full party playlist to match. Follow FG on Spotify for all his picks and turn it up!
Ape Drums lives up to his namesake with the gorilla-in-the-trunk bump of new Fool’s Gold single LFUTP. The bad bwoy DJ and in-demand collaborator (A-Trak, Diplo) returns to his Houston hometown for this raucous jam featuring Texas MC Rizzoo Rizzoo and reigning rap upstart Lil Uzi Vert. Party tested at Ape Drums shows around the globe, “LFUTP” deserves nothing less than to be played at maximum volume while driving through a residential neighborhood. Listen here.
FG ♥ MIA! Big up everyone who rocked with us and the Poplife crew at Cameo for this year’s Fool’s Gold showcase. After teasing you with date and city announcements (and selling out earlybird tickets before revealing a single act), we’re psyched to release lineups for this year’s edition of FOOL’S GOLD DAY OFF events, hitting Los Angeles, Atlanta, New York, Miami and Austin starting August 29th.
Label founders A-Trak and Nick Catchdubs have once again curated North America’s most culturally resonant festival. Who else brings together street rap royalty Meek Mill (currently riding high with the #1 album in the country), UK grime icon Skepta and underground superstars Flatbush Zombies? Who can showcase EDM favorites Flosstradamus and Alison Wonderland alongside nu-millennial MCs D.R.A.M. and Post Malone? Top it off with fresh label signings Rome Fortune, ManMan Savage, Bosco, Leaf, Hoodboi, Falcons and Shash’U and you’ve got an eclectic and electrifying lineup, in true Fool’s Gold style.
“DAY OFF is our culture. It’s where the full scope of Fool’s Gold comes together, it’s everything we represent. It doesn’t belong to one scene or another: DAY OFF is generational. We’ve watched it grow, step by step, with pride. I can’t wait to pull some more surprises this year!” – A-Trak
Tickets for all five DAY OFF events are available now at fgdayoff.com, along with recap videos and photos from the last five years of FGDO shows, featuring Danny Brown, A$AP Rocky, Run The Jewels, Juicy J, Young Thug, French Montana and many others. Read More
